TRAIL TERMS

Hikes ('Hike')

  Multiday 'point to point' hikes following marked or guided trail. Overnight at different places along trail route.

Slackpacking

  Luxury fully supported and guided hike with overnight fully catered accommodation in camps or lodges, shuttle service from end of hike and luggage transfers between lodges.

Backpacking

  Independent hikers carrying own equipment, food and clothing for duration of trail. Sleep mainly in huts or shelters and self cater.

MTB Trail ('Bike')

  Multi-day mountain bike trail following GPS marked route with back-up support eg guide, spares, luggage transfers etc

Nature Trail ('Go Wild')

  Shorter day walks from base camp in wilderness or wildlife protected areas. May be guided eg birding routes, conservation education etc
